"Hello. How are you?"
"I am fine. How are you?"

And so went the usual greeting in Uganda. Or sometimes it was this:

"Hello."
"I am fine. How are you?"

(I am the first person speaking in both cases.) Anyway, I am glad to be back. Uganda was wonderful and I couldn't be happier that I was able to visit. There are so many things to tell and show, so I'll start here with my pictures. I took over 1,500 pictures, but after deleting all the doubles, triples, quads, and overage of hippo photos, I have a final count of 1,120. In finding pictures to post specifically to 365, I tried to keep with my 365 style; so don't be confused with the pictures I post and think "He goes to Africa and this is what he's showing us?". Many of the pictures I posted I don't think are my best photo-wise, but I think they are more in tune with my 365 style. I tried to stick to the "post only one picture from each day" and pretty much did that with a few exeptions because of the time difference. When I have more time, (which I hope is soon) I'll post more to another website. Also, as I was looking through these pictures (I upgraded to iPhoto 6 (from 3), which rocks, by the way), I found that they have more of an impact when larger (but I guess that's true of most pictures), so if you click on an individual photo, it should enlarge. I also have about three hours of video that I need to condense down, but will hopefully be able to show it soon. So, thanks for your interest and nice comments during July (when I was able to check e-mail) and I hope you enjoy the pictures. - jon
